Privacy policy

Last updated 28 August 2026

This policy explains how MNT Holdings LLC ("MNT Holdings", "we", "us") handles personal data in connection with themuseumos.com (the "site"). It covers this website. Use of the museumOS platform itself is covered by a separate agreement.

What we collect

When you email us. If you write to us — to ask about early access or anything else — we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to tell us about yourself or your institution. We use that solely to reply to you and to manage the early access list.

When you visit the site. Our hosting provider and analytics tool record technical information about the visit: pages requested, approximate location derived from IP address, referring page, device and browser type, and timestamps.

We do not ask for account registration, we do not run advertising, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Analytics and cookies

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic — how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly where they come from. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes data on our behalf. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage.

You can opt out by using your browser's cookie controls, blocking analytics requests with an extension, or installing Google's opt-out add-on.

Beyond analytics, the site sets no cookies. There are no advertising cookies, tracking pixels or social media widgets.

Third parties that process data

  • Cloudflare — hosting, DNS and content delivery for the site, including security and abuse protection. Cloudflare processes request data such as IP address in order to serve pages.
  • Google Analytics — aggregate website analytics, as described above.
  • Our email provider — receives and stores messages you send to our published addresses.

Web fonts are served from our own domain, so viewing the site does not send requests to any third-party font service.

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests for running and securing the site and understanding aggregate usage, and for replying to enquiries you initiate. Where consent is required for analytics cookies in your jurisdiction, we rely on consent, which you may withdraw at any time using the controls described above.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is retained on Google's default retention schedule. Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to maintain the early access list, and is deleted on request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and delete — and we confirm that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.

To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and the providers listed above may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where personal data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, our providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved transfer mechanism.

Children

The site is intended for museum professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always the one published here, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
